Looking for an artist

Greetings illustrators. My name is RObert Snow, on MYSPACE it's ncwriter. I'm looking for an illustrator for freelance work written for the new Paranoia XP game system issued by Mongoose Publishing of Great Brittian. I've written one adventure with a se cond on the way for a role playing game set in a futuristic underground city with an all-controlling insane computer making lfie interesting.

I am a serious writer, I write for Clarkson University and was formerly a reporter for the Daily Courier-Observer.

The art is quasi-political style (I can e-mail samples) and I am attaching samples. I need cover, back cover (simple) and four additional pieces to go along with the story I've written. That story is on my Myspace page.

I'm not rich by any means and would like to hear how much one will do the set for and each individual drawing.

I'd certainly be interested in this project. My color art is currently all CG. I don't know if that would work for you, but you can see samples of my work on my page here, or in my DeviantArt gallery. I currently charge $100 for a front cover, $160 for front and back, or $140 for a wrap-around cover. Interior art prices are negotiable.

If you don't feel that CG is right for this project, hopefully another artist will step up. :-) As I'm majoring in illustration, in time, I will be available for traditional, color art. Currently, my traditional art is all pencils.

Well I'm sure many artists on this site would jump at the chance to design a cover. Depends what sort of thing your after as Mr Fesmire said. Currently I don't charge at all, I think its a faff trying to work out royalties and that malarkey, as long as we are entitled to bragging rights. Currently I draw in pencil and colour in on photoshop (see some of my work). Are you a fan of manga style pictures? I tend to draw very quirky looking characters, and I see that in your blog (on myspace) you want a female antagonist? Cool. Check out my stuff on this fantastic site and let me know. Well i remember playing the original paranoia game back in the arly 90's!!! The one with the clones right? I remember the illustrations in that book were very funny. The guy with a big hole in his chest with caption 'its only a flesh wound' is one that sticks in mind.!!

Hi,

I'm a semi-pro illustrator (s'why I'm here, right?). I'm originally from the UK, which might curry favour with Mongoose, and I'm old enough to remember Paranoia from the mid-late 80's (as well as Steve Jackson Games, Citadel Miniatures and Fighting Fantasy game-books but that's another thing altogether) - in particular the comic-book-y style of illustrations that would accompany the modules in White Dwarf.

I know this sounds like a lot, but I would charge $350 for this whole deal - $50 for each illo, $100 for the front and $50 for the back (as it's simple). That's roughly 50% off my usual fees, and a lot more less than I would charge a publisher!

This would get you a couple of rounds of roughs to get everyhting on the same page, inks and for the front and back, full colour artwork - scanned, print-ready and emailed/FTP/Droploaded to wherever you wanted.
